Director Roger Donaldson's passion is motorcycles. Donaldson's luck comes from having found a story to tell on the wide screen about Burt Munro, who lived that passion. Our luck is that they found each other is this very human story. Anthony Hopkins found a roll for which he will be remembered. It is one that next year at this time he ought get a golden statue. The story has all the necessary elements for a great story not only about one man, but also about the people that he meets along the way in his journey. The story is told well. Johnny Cash's life story is told with elegant simplicity. Joaquin Phoenix's role as Johnny Cash and Reese Witherspoon's role as June Carter make it easy to enjoy this movie as both pull together to bring their characters alive. The Pink Panther (2006) Suspending disbelief is the number one obstacle to this movie's success. Peter Sellers is not Inspector Jacques Clouseau. Now we can start fresh with a movie that is funny and enjoyable. It is a movie to enjoy with someone who wants an evening to just laugh and be carefree. So the movie works well and I look forward to the next one as I have now overcome the number one obstacle. |

It perhaps might have been more interesting to have Harrison Ford's family found murdered after he refused to deal with these terrorist.
