Walk for Abolition: End the Death Penalty
Dear Friends,Next Monday, December 12, the day before the (possible) Tookie Williams execution there will be a Walk for Abolition: End the Death Penalty, mentioned briefly in my last e-mail. This "Walk" will be in the spirit of Gandhi and in the tradition of Thich Nat Han. Participants will leave from the Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco's Lincoln Park promptly at 7:00 AM, rain or shine. The Walk for Abolition will meet with The Mill Valley Seniors for Peace at The Redwoods in Mill Valley (Miller Ave. & Camino Alto) around noon. The Gandhi Puppet will also be there to show support. At 3:15 there will be a Rest Stop at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1123 Court Street in San Rafael. Food and beverage will be provided. The Gandhi Puppet will again join the Walk and we will arrive at San Quentin by 6:00 PM.
